Job Summary

As an Entry-Level CADD Technician at JEO, you will support our transportation engineering teams by transforming design concepts into precise, high-quality technical drawings. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who is eager to grow in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You’ll work under the guidance of experienced professionals on a variety of roadway and bridge design projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop technical drawings and construction plans using CADD software.
  • Assist in preparing staking data and drafting design plans for roadway and bridge projects.
  • Generate profiles, cross-sections, and contours from existing and proposed surfaces.
  • Calculate earthwork volumes (cut and fill) to support design and construction planning.
  • Interpret and draft from engineering plans, profiles, and detail sheets.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal project teams and communicate professionally.
  • Participate in occasional field assignments to support survey and data collection efforts.
  • Represent JEO and our clients with professionalism and integrity.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or certificate in Drafting, CADD, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Familiarity with CADD platforms such as AutoCAD Civil 3DBentley MicroStationOpenRoads Designer, or OpenBridge Modeler (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn technical drafting standards.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Basic understanding of surveying and civil/structural engineering concepts is a plus.
